As my mother gradually became disabled I learned a few things about the medical equipment supply business:
Ebay was not as well known in those days and few had online access in any case. All that has changed and Ebay is now a five venue for buying and selling medical equipment needs. One of the problems, in fact, is there is to much stuff that it can be hard to find what you need. A search for "Wheelchair*" will return more than 1,500 items. Ebay has created categories to try and organize things, but they have no control over how people actually decide where to place an item for sale.
